The Odyssey of Tiger Ellsworth

    On-Going

Genre(s): Fantasy, Historical Fiction Sub-Genres: Epic fantasy, urban fantasy, historical fantasy

Queer Content: Queer Themes, Queer Author

    Author: Burgundy Athena Pendragon

Blurb: A little stuffed cat is Enchanted to life by a little girl in need of someone to love. But when tragedy befalls, Tiger Ellsworth is left alone with her grief and a burning to desire to understand why her Molly died. Heartbroken and determined, she sets out on the journey of a lifetime that takes her from 1920s Idaho, through human history, across the globe and back again.

    Content Warnings:

This is a series that fundamentally discusses the incredibly hard topic of child abuse. Meaning, you are going to see depictions of physical and emotional abuse, as well as possible allusions or conversations pertaining to the reality of sexual abuse (but no outright depictions of it). You are going to see children die on-page and in variously horrible ways because that is the nature of this alternate reality and of the journey that Tiger Ellsworth must undertake. The story also takes place over the course of nearly a century, starting in the late 1920s, and it will follow Tiger as she journeys across the world and back again and beyond. But this means that the journey that Tiger undertakes will lead her into many tumultuous and horrifying parts of history, including and especially many of the cruel atrocities that we have inflicted upon each other throughout time. But be courageous and have hope, for Tiger Ellsworth believes that there is a path towards a brighter world than the one she was enchanted into.
